Hal Pictures is an independent production company run by Husni Hafid and Alan Hopkins. We started the company in 2020 to make films we care about, with collaborators we trust, and stories that mean something.

Our focus is on work that challenges, connects, and lasts. We’re not chasing trends. We’re interested in stories with depth, told with craft and care, by people with something to say.

Our most recent short, OGHAM, premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh and has screened & picked up awards at festivals globally. We're now in pre-production on our next project, A Knock at Your Door, supported by Screen Ireland and set to shoot in early 2026.

Alongside producing our own work, we also support writers and filmmakers through development, script editing, and production services.
